Epsilon The Epsilon Chapter of Psi Omega kicked off the 2008-2009 school year with our opening social event/barbeque. The barbeque featured great food and fun, but most importantly it served as a welcoming invitation for all those interested in joining the fraternity. A few weeks later, we initiated our new members at the Amasa Stone Chapel on Case Western Reserve University campus. As always, the annual rafting trip was a BLAST! After spending the night in the West Virginia wilderness, members braved the rapids of the Upper Gauley River. Despite the high water and rainy weather, we are proud to say we only experienced a few “man overboards” and everyone came home in one piece. Just before the end of the fall semester, we held our first annual Christmas event, “Psi-O-Lent Night”. The event included a cookie exchange, hot chocolate, and Christmas themed trivia. This get together was also a great way to help the less fortunate living in the Cleveland area. Members were required to bring new toys for a young boy or girl, which were later donated to Toys For Tots. Our biggest event, Casino Night, is literally days away. After much organization and planning, we are looking forward to a great turnout. The school wide event will feature blackjack, roulette, and craps tables. Participants can use their hard earned casino chips to enter raffles for various prizes. This year we are donating the proceeds to the Salvation Army. We are very excited about this new spring semester. We currently have many activities planned, including: casino night, bowling night, school barbeque, Chips’N’Salsa challenge, and the senior sendoff. Speaking of our senior members… congratulations on finishing part two of National Boards! Good luck to everyone in this new spring semester. |
