The Autumn Quarter was a busy yet fun-filled quarter for the Psi Chapter here at Ohio State. Of course, we were more than enthusiastic about our Ohio State Buckeyes football team. Most home football games were marked with a tailgate, and most away games were watched in party form at the house.

Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner went well, with plenty of great food and many great people with which to enjoy it. Most participants were plenty stuff ed by the end of the night. If anyone left the dinner hungry, it was his or her own fault.

Of course, we were also active on the academic side of dental school. We continued the tradition of helping out the first year dental and dental hygiene students learn tooth anatomy and identification prior to their dental anatomy practical. There were many thankful students who used our guidance and aid.

In addition, our Academic Chair Andrew Baker held a denture help session for the 2nd year Psi Omega members. This wonderful event helped expose the 2nd year students to some tricks of the trade, do’s and don’ts, and in’s and out’s of making complete dentures. Surely, this improved their knowledge and skills in this difficult and technique-sensitive area.

We also had many of the Psi Omega members perform a deep cleaning of the undergraduate endodontics and emergency clinics. These two heavily used areas were thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned. In addition, we cleaned one of our first-floor waiting areas from top to bottom.

As the Winter Quarter begins, we are looking forward to many great events. We will be having our annual new member initiation followed by our traditional dinner outing to a local Chinese Food Buff et. We will also be holding the annual Nine-Hole Party at the Psi Omega House. This quarter promises to be a great one as we brave the cold, tackle another quarter of dental school and cheer our Buckeyes against the Tigers.
