From the Central Office

Congratulations to our seniors and good luck as you enter the next plane of your professional career. Some of you will continue with your education and others will enter practice, so please keep in touch with us at the Central Office as you move around the country!

This edition of the Frater is packed with information and chapter check-ins. All of you who sent reports are given “special thanks” for your efforts. Please keep up the good work! This is your magazine and a great way to let other chapters know what you are doing. The alumni really appreciate reading about their school’s chapters. Pattie and Emily have worked continuously to put it all together. We cannot recall having this many chapter reports in a previous edition of the Frater.

As a result of nominations at the Conclave meeting and a national election, we now have two new Province Councilors. Dr. Jack Taggart (Province 1 Councilor) and Dr. John Hatton (Province 2 Councilor) have completed their terms to serve as Province Councilors. We all thank them for their time and service. Two new Province Councilors have joined the National Council. Dr. Richard Kerecz replaces Dr. Taggart and Dr. Gary Coleman replaces Dr. Hatton. We welcome them and look forward to their contributions to the success of Psi Omega.

Please join us and your Psi omega friends at the reception during the ADA Meeting in San Francisco. It will be 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2007. Please see our invitation on page 5 of this issue. As always, please call or e-mail us if we can help you or if you need any information.

Congratulations to Our Recent Graduates!

You will be moving to the next phase of your professional career and life. There will be a combination of paths you will follow. There may be military service, graduate school, private practice, and for many, marriage and family. All of these events will shape your personal and professional growth. All Psi Omega alumni wish you the very best.

Please continue to be active in Psi Omega Fraternity by joining as an alumnus and continuing to enjoy the benefits of a Professional Fraternity. You will not pay any dues for the remainder of this year. The dues structure is:

Graduate students: $10/year;
Recent Graduates: $25/year for the first three years.
