From the Central Office

Spring is here! Hope everyone made it through the winter! Our 2006 seniors will be graduating. Congratulations! It is our hope that you have enjoyed being a student member of Psi Omega and that your experience has been a positive one. We certainly are appreciative of your support as a student member. Wherever you might be heading after graduation, whether you plan on continuing your dental education or going into general practice, we hope you will continue to support Psi Omega. We strongly encourage this because it seems as though the newer generation of dental students becomes "lost" after graduation. We realize the time in which we live is no longer a simple time - everyone seems to be very busy being involved in just the everyday concerns of life - we need more time to reflect on the experiences we have enjoyed and staying in touch with the friends we have made. After all, this is what Psi Omega is all about - making friends, sharing activities and experiences, and continuing this tradition long after dental school.

There are many examples of Psi O's who continue to keep in touch with one another many years beyond dental school, and it is always a pleasure to hear them talk about their time in dental school together, as well as the friendship they have carried through the years. One way to help stay in touch is to keep your address, e-mail address, and phone number current - please include the Psi Omega Central Office so we can keep you current in our data base. It is very important to us and easy for you to do – just email us at psiomega@bellsouth.net. If you prefer to mail it in, you can fill out the Change of Address form inside the Frater.

Your support as an alumni member will help Psi Omega continue - it has just entered into its 114th year, so let's keep it active! And, as always, if there is anything we can possibly do for you, do not hesitate to call on us.

Also, we cannot close without sending out a special thanks to Zeta student members Hemant Dahwan, Jay Kansal, and Ellie Baker, along with Dr. Arthur Steinberg, Zeta Deputy Councilor, for all of their hard work in planning the nice gathering we had at the Restaurant School in Philadelphia to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Edward Grosse. THANK YOU!

Congratulations to Our Recent Graduates!

You will be moving to the next phase of your professional career and life. There will be a combination of paths you will follow. There may be military service, graduate school, private practice, and for many, marriage and family. All of these events will shape your personal and professional growth. All Psi Omega alumni wish you the very best.

Please continue to be active in Psi Omega Fraternity by joining as an alumnus and continuing to enjoy the benefits of a Professional Fraternity. You will not pay any dues for the remainder of this year. The dues structure is:

Graduate students: $10/year;
Recent Graduates: $25/year for the first three years.
