From the Central Office

Hello from the Central Office in Charleston. We hope that everyone has enjoyed a great summer and is ready for the fall events. The talk of football is a frequent conversation at this time of the year, so carefully pick your teams. Everyone likes to be a winner. Tom always pulls for his college team, The Citadel, and Jimmy’s college did not have a football team when he graduated, so he is able to support the preseason picks.

We do have some news of changes in the Central Office. Kathleen has made the decision to pursue a career change. We will certainly miss her, but we wish her the best with her future. Thanks to everyone who has made the nice comments about her work over the years. She certainly appreciated everyone’s support.

At this time Claudia is working in the office and Pattie has again assumed the duties of serving as editor of The Frater. Please continue to call the office if we can help. Also, send us your e-mail communications. Our e-mail has become a very effective way of corresponding and dispensing information. If for some reason you cannot get in contact with the Central Office, you may call Tom at his office (843-556-8030) or Jimmy at his office (843-792-2342).

The National Council of Psi Omega will be meeting on Saturday prior to the ADA Convention in Las Vegas. There will be a “no host” reception, Sunday evening, October 15th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The reception will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel, 3799 Las Vegas Boulevard South—ask at the front desk for the location.

Congratulations to Our Recent Graduates!

You will be moving to the next phase of your professional career and life. There will be a combination of paths you will follow. There may be military service, graduate school, private practice, and for many, marriage and family. All of these events will shape your personal and professional growth. All Psi Omega alumni wish you the very best.

Please continue to be active in Psi Omega Fraternity by joining as an alumnus and continuing to enjoy the benefits of a Professional Fraternity. You will not pay any dues for the remainder of this year. The dues structure is:

Graduate students: $10/year;
Recent Graduates: $25/year for the first three years.
